The Coolest Man in Tanzania
Joseph Kusaga is a Tanzanian self-made serial entrepreneur with a niche for big ideas and the drive, skills, and knowledge to turn those same ideas into media empires. He is the founder of CLOUDS Entertainment, Limited and one of the most powerful men in Tanzania's entertainment industry.
Born and raised in Musoma, a town on the Lake Victoria shore, Kusaga moved to Dar es Salaam at the age of 5 after his father, who was a civil servant, was transferred to the country's commercial hub. He is the fourth in a family of nine children—five boys and four girls.
Kusaga developed a passion for music at a very early age. He started organizing events when he was still at college studying electronics. Although his father and mother did not see much of a future in doing events, they trusted and had confidence in him. With his parents' support, and within a very short time, he became a very popular DJ and event organizer.
His journey has been remarkable—from running discos at Motel Agip to building a media empire. Today, he is recognized as a media mogul and billionaire businessman with connections that go beyond the Bongo Flava music industry to America.
